It’s actually quite surprising how much serviced and co-working office space there is in and around Bloomsbury, but as I said it’s such a well-served location in terms of transport and things to do and see that it’s no wonder people want to work around here!

Runway East Bloomsbury

This is a pretty special place in that it offers fully serviced office space complete with all sorts of home-from-home comforts, like a sun-trap courtyard, ‘unwind’ breakout space with comfy sofas, bike storage, showers, an honesty café and bar, a Friday drinks trolley and – who could resist – ‘Cake Wednesdays’.

There’s also free access to a number of meeting rooms and phone booths and a large event space. According to their website, they offer loads of customisation options and scalable contracts for teams of 1-100.

Fora Space – The Bloomsbury Building

This iconic office building in Bloomsbury Way is 5 minutes’ walk from Holborn and Tottenham Court Road stations, and just a bit further from Covent Garden.

Their website says they offer private offices for teams of 2 to 2,000 with flexible terms and bespoke setups, as well as a dedicated owned desk option, and a ‘roaming’ service that gives you access to all their coworking spaces around the UK and Germany.

The building has been fitted out with showers, private phone booths, eating spaces and a large communal area.

HQ – London

This nationwide service connects workers and business owners with serviced offices, coworking spaces, meeting rooms and virtual office solutions.

I couldn’t find anything listed specifically for office space in Bloomsbury, but their Holborn page does detail a few locations that are fairly nearby.

Workpad – 2 Bloomsbury Place

Another office building located in Holborn (Holborn is about a 25 minute walk or 10 minute drive from Bloomsbury). It’s one of the area’s many converted period buildings.

The property has been refurbished to provide ten fully-furnished private office suites of various sizes, plus there’s a communal garden, and a private rooftop terrace for the top floor office.

Their website says they offer all-inclusive and flexible rental contracts.

x+why – Bloomsbury House

x+why designs and manages flexible workspaces, including Bloomsbury House in Great Russell Street, which is about a 15 minute walk from the Mentone Hotel here in Bloomsbury.

From spring 2025, this converted Georgian building will offer private workspaces suitable for up to 30 people.

Amenities include a courtyard garden, bike storage, communal kitchens, showers and changing rooms, and access to admin facilities. Apparently they also provide free fruit, honesty bars, complimentary tea and coffee, and member events.
